President’s Message:
I
would like to commend the members who weathered the snow to attend the 2008
spring annual seminar in Columbus. While we
were small in numbers we were able
to accomplish business and elections. Bylaw changes were adopted. 7 CEU’s were
awarded.
Dr.
Butler was in attendance and presented. Representative Jim McGregor spoke to
the membership regarding legislation and our bill
was being written. This was
quite a surprise. Ohio is on the journey towards recognition. Every newsletter
will now include a message
regarding Legislation to keep you informed. The
board was informed by AST; Ohio has joined the 1000 member mark making us the
sixth state to accomplish this objective. Membership has doubled in the past
four years. I say to you, congratulations on a job well done.
Our next meeting
is scheduled for October 11, 2008 in Toledo. Please make the necessary
arrangements to attend.
Sincerely,
Jean Carty Turner, CST/CFA
